- Do not separate from the group! Tell the guide if you need to step away from the group for any reason.
- Do not get less than 4ft from edges of cliffs, bluffs, and overhangs.
- Absolutely no horseplay! No running, chasing, pushing, shoving, hitting, ect. will be tolerated.
- Do not throw rocks off cliffs or bluffs. There might be other hikers or wildlife in the area.
- Do not hesitate to tell the guide if you need to stop and rest.
- Do not litter, our goal is to leave each place a little better than we find it.
- Do not carve, draw, or paint on any rock, tree, or object on the trail. Leave no trace.
- Do not try to cross swollen waterways when you cannot see the bottom of the stream. Just 2 inches of rapidly running water can knock a 200 lbs man off his feet.
- Absolutely no alcoholic beverages or drugs are allowed. Notify guide if you must bring a prescription medicine with you.
- Do not climb on rocks or cliffs.
- Do not pick flowers or anything else. This helps assure that the flowers will continue to grow and others may enjoy them for years to come.
- Sorry, no pets allowed. For the safety and well being of you and the other hikers
- Bring a camera! This will be an exciting and scenic adventure that you will want pictures of to show your friends and family.
- Do not bring CD player, ipods, mp3, or radios.
- Tell the guide if you have any physical illness or are taking any medication that may affect your abilities to hike.
- Have a great time!
Failure to abide by these rules could terminate the hike.
Group Size
Buffalo National River limits us to twelve people, counting guides. Ozark National Forest limits us to eight people. Due to the ruggedness ot the terrain and for safety reasons we like to have one guide for every 4 or 5 hikers.
